Ancient Harmonies, Modern Rhythms
One of the most exciting and original ensembles in the Italian celtic and world music scene
Ensemble Sangineto is an eclectic band which skillfully blends ancient harmonies and sonorities with modern rhythms. Founded by the Sangineto twins, Caterina and Adriano, whose father is respected Italian luthier Michele Sangineto, they were brought up hearing famous artists such as Derek Bell of the Chieftains, and Breton harpist and singer Alan Stivell. With guitarist Jacopo, the experiences of the individual members converge, creating
fresh and new arrangements of traditional Irish, Scottish, Breton, Italian, and original compositions that display influences from
varied musical genres; from classical to folk, Gregorian chant to Celtic music. They have performed at renowned venues such as Club Passim and Caffe Lena.
